Members who find themselves in the following circumstances may benefit from reading the guidance:

• Members who are buying second hand boats from a private seller, or from a broker.
• Members who are in dispute with a yard or marina, and who have therefore stopped paying their marina fees, or have held back full payment of their yard bill.
• Members who have had stores or equipment delivered to their boat, and not paid for it, for whatever reason.
• Members who are involved in a claim for salvage services. (If this is the case they should also refer to the section of the site that deals with salvage).
• Members who have had their boats arrested
