RYA South Regional Volunteer Team Members

The RYA is seeking enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join the RYA South Regional Volunteer Team as part of the Regional Engagement Group (REG). The restructured Regional Team is designed to make volunteering more accessible and rewarding.

REG members will work closely with RYA staff to support engagement with clubs and centres across the region to ensure that the voice of the grassroots influences the implementation of the RYA's Strategy ‘Together on Water’. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of boating in your area and ensure the RYA remains connected to the needs of its community.

For more information on specifics, please see the role outline for the Regional Engagement Team Member here.

The RYA South Region operates on clusters of clubs by geographical area, covering Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Hampshire, Chichester Harbour, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. The specific sub areas and vacant positions can be seen on the Expression of Interest from linked below.

Process of expressing your interest

  • Candidates express interest in the vacancies by completing this Expression of Interest Form
  • Deadline: 15th October, however we reserve the right to appoint sooner if strong applications are received.
  • The Chair, in consultation with staff, will then liaise with individuals by e-mail/phone as soon as possible to progress offers of support as is consistent with the RYA South Regional Volunteer Team’s Terms of Reference.

The RYA is committed to equality of opportunity.

As an equal opportunity and disability confident employer, we celebrate and welcome diversity in all its forms and believe that a diverse workforce boosts innovation, productivity, and creativity.

We are dedicated to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion and strive to be an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves. We would particularly encourage applications from ethnically diverse candidates who are currently underrepresented at the RYA.
